Reverend Ralph Colicchio was born on

. He studied for the priesthood at
St. Thomas Seminary in

and Christ the King Seminary at St. Bonaventure University in
Olean

. He was ordained a priest at St.
Joseph Cathedral in
Hartford
,
CT
on
May 4, 1967
.
Fr. Ralph served as parrochial vicar in various churches of
the Hartford Achdiocese from 1967 – 1980.
He was then appointed as a co-pastor of St. Mary Magdalen parish in
Oakville
,
CT
until 1990. After that appointment,
he served as a chaplain at
Hartford
Hospital
until 1994 and obtained his certification from the National Association of
Catholic Chaplains in 1995. From
1994 – 1998, he was the director of Catholic chaplaincy for
Yale
New Haven
Hospital.

Subsequent to his chaplaincy assignments, The Archdiocese
of Hartford appointed Fr. Ralph as pastor of the linked parishes of St.
Elizabeth (Branford) and St. Clare (
East Haven
). In 2003, he was assigned as
parochial vicar of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in
Hamden
,
CT
until April, 2008 when he was assigned pastor to the linked parishes of St.
Anthony and St. Michael in
New Haven
.
