| Deacon Richard
Santello was ordained on October 31, 1976 by the late Most Reverend John
F. Whealon, Archbishop of Hartford. He entered Diaconate Formation
from St. John the Baptist Parish, New Haven and has served at St. Rita
Parish, Hamden, Saint Boniface Parish, New Haven Deacon Santello has served as Assistant Director for Deaconal Formation and then the Director of the Office for the Diaconate for the Archdiocese of Hartford, President of the National Association of Diaconate Directors, a consultant to the US Council of Catholic Bishops Committee on the Diaconate, and a member of the Board of Delegates of the Internationales Diakonatszentrum, Rottenburg-Freiburg, Germany. He is married to Angela Eadvito Santello for 49 years. They have four children and three grandchildren. |
